Born in France in a Laotian family, Dann moved to Lisbon at the age of 8 to join his father.

His life changed radically. During the week, his father sent him to a military boarding school for children, and took him to construction work on his free time.
Naturally, his practical skills developed quickly.

At the age of 14, with a wealth of experience, the prudent decision was made to leave the boarding school to enter the watchmaking school of Lisbon, increasing the chances of finding a job later.

His passion for technique became apparent. At the age of 17, Dann sought part-time work related to watchmaking. This allowed him to financially support his family while he was in school, free him from construction work on his free time, and prepare him for the job market.

It was then, in the year 2000 as a salesman, that he discovered brands like Franck Muller, F.P.Journe and Jeager LeCoultre.

The conclusion was clear: technique can be fascinating, but a brand’s philosophy give’s the object an existence that transcends reason. Wearing a watch is, above all, a pleasure. Concept that had not clearly existed yet in Dann’s life.

At the age of 21, he enrolled in a university course in applied mathematics. Wasted time remedied two years later, he bought a one-way ticket to Geneva with €1,000 in his pocket and a desire to master his passion.

Over the next 11 years, Dann had the opportunity to draw on his knowledge at Parmigiani, Greubel Forsey, Daniel Roth and Jaeger-LeCoultre. He constantly sought additional training, and in 2012 he completed a three-year evening course to become a conceptor watchmaker.

In 2018, Dann decided to take a breath, set up his own business and bring his dream to life, which, beyond the craft of watchmaking, is to take his time and « vivre le temps avec passion ».
