Maciej Miśnik, as a representative of the fifth generation of watchmakers, self-taught, was a passionate about precision movements from a childhood.

He is a graduate of technical physics at the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics of the Gdańsk University of Technology (2014 BSc, 2021 PhD). For over 11 years he was associated with the Gdańsk University of Technology, where he conducted numerous scientific research in the field of properties of thin layers of organic luminescent materials and secondary in mass spectrometry at the Institute of Tele- and Radio Technology in Warsaw (2012-2019).

He was a winner of the very prestigious government program “Diamond Grant” (2014), thanks to which he financed part of his research. He is the author of several publications in JCR journals and technical developments.

In 2018, he passed the state apprenticeship examination in the watchmaking profession as an external student. In September 2019, he started creating his own timepieces.

The experience gained in scientific work certainly makes it easier for him to work on his new path in life. In 2022, he won the “Young Talent Competition” organized by F. P. Journe. He has been a candidate for AHCI since 2024.
