New member : Masahiro Kikuno

Following the occasion of their recent General Assembly on April 27, 2013, the Board of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants are pleased to announce the elevation of young Japanese watch maker Masahiro Kikuno from candidate to full member of the AHCI.

In recognition of his traditional Japanese Temporal Hours and Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon pieces, Masahiro was first proposed and accepted as AHCI candidate in 2011.

Drawing from the cultural influences of his Japanese upbringing, Masahiro Kikuno’s work continues to push the boundaries and his latest Orizuru creation features not only the minute repeater complication but also a delightful automata inspired by the traditional art of Origami.

The members of the AHCI extend a warm welcome to Masahiro and would like to wish him a long and fulfilling career as a master of his profession.
